Volleyball’s Eggleston named CSWA Honda Sport Award Winner

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball’s Logan Eggleston was named the Honda Activity Award winner for volleyball as declared by Chris Voelz, Executive Director of The Collegiate Ladies Sports activities Awards (CWSA).

The Honda Sport Award has been offered yearly by the CWSA for the previous 47 many years to the best gals athletes in 12 NCAA- sanctioned sports and signifies “the most effective of the most effective in collegiate athletics”.  The winner of the activity award gets a finalist for the Collegiate Lady Athlete of the 12 months and the prestigious 2023 Honda Cup, which will be introduced on a dwell telecast on CBS Sports activities Community in June.

Eggleston was picked by a vote of directors from about 1,000 NCAA member colleges. Finalists bundled Gabby Blossom (San Diego), Claire Chaussee (Louisville) and Kendall Kipp (Stanford).

Hailing from Brentwood, Tenn., the outside hitter was named Significant 12 Convention Participant of the 12 months for the final 3 seasons and is a 5-time All-Huge 12 Initial-Workforce honoree.

On the year, she led the group with 4.28 kills for every set and a .297 hitting percentage along with 42 services aces. Eggleston set the Texas and Major 12 career record for aces.

Off the courtroom, she was named a 2022 CoSIDA First-Workforce Tutorial All-American becoming just the 3rd in Significant 12 background to get paid Initially-Workforce honors and is a three-time Tutorial All-American total. She graduated with a diploma in administration and obtained a certification in ethics and management in company and is also pursuing a graduate diploma in sporting activities administration.

The CWSA, entering its 47th calendar year, has honored the nation’s leading NCAA gals athletes for their exceptional athletic abilities, management, tutorial excellence and eagerness to take part in community assistance.  Because commencing its partnership in 1986, Honda has delivered far more than $3.4 million in institutional grants to the universities of the award winners and nominees to support women’s athletics systems.
