Madhappy Meets Columbia Sportswear To Take On the Cold

Los Angeles-based imprint Madhappy has teamed up with Columbia Sportswear for a second capsule — this time, one filled with outerwear staples. As a label centered around driving the mental health conversation, Madhappy’s Columbia collaboration intends to shed light on the link between spending time outdoors and improved mental health.

The collection is ready to brace winter, with zip-up fleeces, heavyweight hooded jackets and shiny bombers with elevated necklines. Classic puffer coats are available in neutral tones ranging from light to dark, as well as more adventurous hues including light pink and blue. Performance-ready pants utilize Columbia’s innovative outdoor technology to protect its wearers from extreme conditions, and a range of more-comfortable silhouettes let Madhappy’s loungewear expertise do the talking. In that same conversation, signature hoodies are available with an all-over, multi-toned graphic on fleece.

In accessories, the collaboration offers up a selection of fleece-covered fanny packs in brown, blue and white colorways; and flap caps, wrapped with a multi-colored band, appear in red, white and blue. Mittens arrive in the aforementioned tones, and a selection of lighter-weight gloves are prepped in white and black.

“Amongst the constant noise of the internet, social media & societal conversation — the outdoors serves as a place of solace for all of humankind,” Madhappy co-founder Mason Spector said in a statement. “It’s one of the only things in this life that unites every individual living thing. We all share the same outside. It’s the most inclusive and accessible entity that we have. While the creation of nature and its creatures are unknown, there’s a connectivity that exists between all living things that’s inherent & undeniable. The outdoors preceded us as humans, and will ultimately succeed us. That idea alone cements the power of the outdoors.”

The Madhappy for Columbia Sportswear: Winter 2022 Outdoors Collection will be available exclusively on Madhappy’s Instagram Shop on Thursday, November 17, at 9 a.m. PT.
